In the career planning process, it is best to choose a career based on your talents, abilities, and interests. What if you're not exactly sure what you're good at or what you're interested in? No worries! That's what we have aptitude tests for.
What is an aptitude test? Aptitude is just another word for the natural ability to do something whether you're a natural leader, writer, problem solver, etc. An aptitude test asks you a series of questions to evaluate your skills and the type of work you enjoy and gives you careers based on your answers.
These tests help you narrow down your options to careers that are more compatible with your personality and can help you establish your future career path. I recommend that all students take an aptitude test at least once before college, especially those who are undecided!
Side Notes
~ In order for you to answer the test questions accurately, you have to be relatively self-aware. You have to know your own skills, interests, values, etc.
~ I recommend taking multiple aptitude tests and searching for some outside of this platform! The more tests you take, the more results you receive, and the more options you have.
~ If your results are consistent, that could be a sign! I recommend researching your top career matches and the ones you are most interested in. Remember self-education is important in the career decision making process.
