Paris Lars is an 18-year-old aspiring content creator, who goes by the name Paris Alise on her social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. In this interview, Paris discusses her fairly new YouTube channel, goals, and future aspirations!!

JM : How are you doing today, Ms. Lars?

PL : I'm doing great today, Ms. Morris.

JM : That's good 😌. I guess the first thing I wanna ask is for you to describe the type of content creator you want to be. I understand that you have a YouTube channel, can you tell us about that & other social media platforms that you're on?

PL : Yes I do. I am really all over the place with the content I make. I don't stick to one specific type of video, but really just any and everything that can be created into a video and posted on YouTube I will do. As for other social media platforms I am on Instagram, Twitter, SnapChat, TikTok, and Facebook.

JM : You admit that you are inconsistent with your content, which I completely understand. On your YouTube channel, I know you have a Q&A video on there which I remember giving you some questions for. But one thing I don't remember is asking what drove you to content creation? What made you wanna get started?

PL : YouTube has always been on my to-do list, I just never did it. I knew ever since I started watching DIY channels and the more comedic creators that YouTube was something I would like to do. It's the fun and effort each creator puts into their videos that has inspired me to do the same.

JM : Do you have any ideas for the type of content you want to post in the future? What do you want your channel to be about?

PL : I want my channel to be different from the normal channels you see on YouTube. I want to use my YouTube channel as an advocate to express myself and show my supporters the more energetic side of me.

JM : I love where your head's at as far as your channel goes. Is there anyone on YouTube in particular that you look to for inspiration maybe? Or even someone outside of YouTube?

PL : As far as YouTube I have to say Kelly Stamps. Although she's not as consistent as I would like to be, she puts out good informational content that can be followed by just about anybody. Also, the feeling you get just watching her videos makes you feel as if you're watching an ad on TV or something. Outside of YouTube, I would have to say Oprah. She inspires me to put my best foot forward and persist in the activities I love to do.

JM : You have solid influences, I'm glad you have others to look at for inspiration. Is YouTube something you want to take seriously in the long run? Do you see yourself creating content throughout college & adulthood or do you see it as just a for now thing?

PL : Yes it is something I want to take seriously, which I can say is the reason I'm not consistent right now. I want to put out content that I feel proud to say I made and not just throw something out there. I definitely feel that in college I will be more consistent and get more serious about it.

JM : I'm really loving your approach, I feel like this is something you do enjoy & will continue to enjoy as you move forward in your content creation journey. Do you have any goals for yourself with YouTube? Do you hope to get monetized someday perhaps?

PL : Goals that I have for my YouTube channel would be to grow. When I say grow, I do mean to grow my channel and hopefully be able to get my channel to 1 million subscribers and get awards for that. To me, it also means growth for myself. I feel it will give me personal growth, help me to be less closed off with my life and be able to have a conversation with people I have never met. As for monetization, of course I would love to make a career or just extra income off a passion of mine.

JM : Well speaking of which, you say you want to continue YouTube, which is great & hopefully get monetization from it. But I presume that's not all you want for your future. Is there a particular career path that you have in mind for yourself, or at least the major you want to study in college? Do you want to study something directly related to content creation or something totally different?

PL : In college, I want to get a degree to be an orthodontist and get a minor in business. I have never thought about studying film classes but maybe that's something that would help me learn a little bit more about my passion.

JM : I see that you have a plan in mind, yet you're still exploring your options. So you claim that business is something you're interested in. Any form of business in particular? Owning a business, working for one?

PL : I like to do photography, so that might be a business, but I also want to get into flipping houses and make that a business.

JM : You have pretty big dreams Ms. Lars!! Ambition is an admirable trait & I guess I shouldn't be surprised since you mentioned that Oprah is your role model. As I ask all of my interviewees, how do you define success?

PL : I would define success as a word that is awarded to someone after they have shown all they can do in life and get it done to the point where nobody can doubt it was them.

JM : Ms. Lars thank you so much for your time today!! I appreciated talking to you about your aspirations & I'm excited to see where they would take you!! Please keep making content, I can't wait to see the kind you produce in the future!!

PL : Yes ma'am, thank you.
